The Laurens Library Foundation decided to build a music garden and chose six Freenotes Harmony Park instruments. At their Fall Fundraiser, they announced their plan for the music garden and by the spring their community had rallied behind them to accomplish their goal and fully fund the project. According to the Library's director, "The people of Laurens will never grow old, because [they] love to play!" The music garden has become a multigenerational experience that allows people to bond through music. The instruments are accessible to the public 24 hours a day and have even been incorporated during the library's story times.
