Mallet Redesign

A major improvement is being made in the cable to mallet attachment and will be applied to our instruments starting this month. The new mallet system replaces the previous swaged loop at the end of the mallet handle with an attachment housed within the mallet handle itself. A more sleek appearance and increased durability are the primary results, however, the players experience will also be enhanced as the new attachment is more comfortable in the hand and allows the mallet to move more naturally for freedom of musical expression.

A major improvement has also been made for our ever-popular Tuned Drums. Within the next 2 months we will be able to offer custom-molded plastic drum caps in four colors: Yellow, Blue,Taupe and Moss Green. The colors are solid throughout the plastic and need no paint at all so they will never chip or scratch. Replacement drum caps are sold in sets and alternating colors are an option. The 2012 MSRP for the set of custom-molded drum caps is $300.

We are now applying a catalyzed automotive paint that's primarily used for motorcycle parts. This gives a hard-coat finish resistant to scratching, chipping and fading.
